Yes, it's been a while. Yes, I've missed you all. And yes, I have a few stories. :-D
I think my last blog entry was before my Reno band trip. To sum it up, I didn't have a very good time. We lost, and there was this really lame party up in one of the hotel rooms that I went up to that I shouldn't have gone to. (Straight people have NO idea how to party.) And of course, I didn't interact with gay people all week. Ack!!!
I went to a GAY party this weekend, which was a whole lot of fun. There was music, a dance floor (which as you may suspect, I did not use), a lounge, lots of fabulous food, scores of cute boys running around, strippers, and whipped cream wrestlers. Indeed, THIS was a party that I had a good time at! Needless to say, there was PLENTY of libation at the party, as well (but I was a good boy and didn't partake).
I met a few people, but not as many as I would have liked. I suppose I need to start going to these kinds of things more often so that I can break out of this little social shell of mine and start being more comfortable around people my own age. Not that I see it as a bad thing that I hang around older men all the time, but once in a while, it is nice to be able to hang out with people old enough to have graduated with me, instead of old enough to be my father.
Pride is coming up, and I'm VERY excited for that. LOTS of fun will be had by all, that's for sure. There's just one small detail this time that may prevent me from taking part in the weekend's events: work. :- I asked for the days off, and I think I'll be able to manage to get them off, but I'm still not 100% sure. It SO would be the end of the world if I didn't go to Pride this year!!! I don't know WHAT I'd do!!! So send happy thoughts my way, and let's hope the powers that be give me the weekend off.
Well, I'm off to a voice lesson right now (I'm becoming quite the tenor diva). It's my first lesson with this new teacher--I hear he's really good. And young. But I'm not sure if he's gay. We'll soon see. >:-D Unlike me, you kids behave yourselves, and enjoy the rest of the Memorial Day weekend!
