x and o

Okay.

Here is my question.

I mean, when someone signs something xoxoxoxo, and so on, which is the hug and which is the kiss?

I walked into a wall this week and have since been having trouble remembering shit like this.

The fact that I actually care is indicative of the concussion that ensued.

Jules,
I believe the 0 is the hug and the x the kiss. I could be quite wrong but doesn't the O look like the shape of someone's arms giving a hug? (yes yes i admit I like abstract art A LOT)

wait a minute

I thought that X was the hug and O the kiss. The circle of the O like lips when you pucker up. An the X crosses as your arms do when you put them around someone. And I get a lot of cards from relatives signed with XXXXXs and not OOOOOOOs. Pretty sure that they aren't meaning to slather me in kisses.

And it can't be O as hugs, cause then, I've also then copious kisses to people that I only wanted to hug.

AHHHHHH

I won't back down

X's are kisses, O's are hugs. That's just the way it is. :-)

yeah

i learnt this one age three in new york from my mom - x is kiss and o is hug. abstract is cool. and let's assume based on the plethora of transcribed kisses used by all sorts of people to sign off letters and text messages that each one of these people (including all those relatives) don't wanna play tonsil hockey. egads, the vague notion of random work colleagues etc who signed things with their name and an x...makin me wanna vomit. and i don't have concussion today.:)
