My, my, my

Happy Tuesday to you all!

It seems I was due in for one. About 3 or 4 times a year, I happen to fall MADLY for some boy. I guess the last one I really fell for was earlier in the winter (but let us not bring up THOSE old wounds) I should have seen this one coming. Needless to say, I didn't.

Now don't get me wrong, I've expressed on here many times my interest for many boys; but those have all been fleeting fancies (and to be quite honest, more often than not, they've been based on superficial reasons).

This kind of falling for someone is different, though.

At first he WAS just a pretty face. He just started working at the restaurant (he's training to be a waiter) about a week ago. "Robert" is very handsome, has a somewhat chisled face (turn-on), he speaks German (in fact, he lived in Germany for a while--mmmm...Euro boys), he can sing, and is shorter than I (another turn-on). Robert is also a very intelligent young man, which is nice.

It was funny, because after chorus, one of the chorus members "Allen" and I went to my restaurant to eat. That's when we saw Robert. He was just finshing a shift and was about to eat, so we asked him if he wanted to eat with us. So he did. It was during this little dinner conversation that I found out he could speak German (and did so with Allen) with a wonderfully sexy European accent (did I mention I REALLY like Euro boys?). We sat and ate and taked for about an hour, then it was time for us to leave. Allen and I hugged goodbye, and Robert and I headed to the same direction to get out cars.

We stopped at my car and started talking some more. It really was a delightful converstaion laden with a variety of different topics (education reform, music, car wrecks, money, etc.), and before we knew it, an entire hour had passed and we were still talking! After a few minutes more, we'd decided it'd be prudent to get ourselves home, as we both had things to do in the morning. We made arrangements to call each other the next day (today) so we could get together before he had to go to work, so I hope that works out.

Needless to say, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. You see, Robert is "straight," and I use the term loosely because I have a feeling that he really hasn't figured things out yet entirely. Maybe he has. But we'll see what happens. Either way, he's a nice boy, and whatever happens, I know it'll take a little time for me to get over him one way or another. So I just enjoy the feeling of falling for someone in this manner again.

I suppose that's all for now. You kids behave yourselves, and we'll see ya in a few days!

P.S.: Oh my gosh! Pride is coming up this weekend! Yay!!!!!! You know what that means...that's right, Momma takes out her dancin' shoes and makes her once-a-year dancing debut at the offical kick-off to Pride in Portland on Friday. I'm going to go shopping for a new outfit (I can't be looking as if I'm wearing last year's fashions!), and I'm going to have a gay old time!

Saturday, I spend most of the day at the waterfront where they'll have all the booths and whatnot, and then Sunday I march in the parade. Yay! I love the Pride events so much--I'm just shaking thinking about it. *screams* :-D You can be sure I'll let you all know what went down (or who went down, as the case may be) as soon as all the dust has settled. Stay tuned, kids.

One thing....

Will you match your new outfit to The Hat or will you go sans Hat? I shudder at the latter.
