Yesterday, I started my first day of school for the term. Things actually went pretty well. I got a chance to meet some new people and see what my new classes are going to be all about, so yay for that!
I think I'm really going to enjoy my Medieval world history class. Before class started, I sat down in the front row (like the nerd that I am) and patiently waited for class to start. Other people had trickled in, but they were sitting in the back rows. So here I am, the ONLY one in the front row. Then, this really hot guy comes in, and instead of sitting in the back or in the middle like everybody else, he comes and sits one seat away from me! He could have sat a number of other places, including on the other end of the front row, but he chose not to. And I *swear* that he was looking at me throughout class, but I can't be sure. Maybe he was just looking for another sister, or maybe he wasn't. We'll see what happens tomorrow. :-D
So school is cancelled today, due to inclement weather. Yay! Which is fine by me, because I'm all the way on the other side of the metro area from my school (because I'm housesitting until next Monday), and I really don't like to travel in this weather anyhow. Plus, at the moment, I seem to be trapped in the house. You see, the snow is being accompanied by fierce winds, and so there's a big pile of snow blocking the screen door. And it's not one of those flimsy screen doors, either; this is a big girl's screen door! Luckily, it opens just enough for the dog to get through to go to the bathroom. And I'm sure if I didn't overeat so much this holiday season, I'd be able to fit through that, but I'm not so sure. I'll figure something creative out to get me outside, should the need arise.
The only thing that's going to get me out is if the weather calms down and I can drive to the singles night at the bar. I always meet people there (not as in have sex with them, just meet them, talk with them, that sort of thing). My friend Jeff and I like to go, because just in case nobody is there, we'll at least have each other to talk with. But I don't see the weather getting better, and if it did, I'm not sure how many people would be in the mood to show up. Meh.
I think school is going to be fun this term, although VERY busy. In school, I'm in three performing groups, as well as three outside of school, so that puts me at a grand total of six. The groups include: the school symphonic band (in which I play Horn); the school orchestra (Horn); the school jazz band (trumpet); the gay men's chorus (I sing tenor); the gay concert band (Horn/asst. conductor); and a gay brass quintet (Horn). You'd almost think I were a Horn (French Horn) player, but I'm really a trumpet player. For some reason, I just seem to be getting myself into groups that need Hornists. Which is good, because a brass player should be able to play AT LEAST two instruments, and I think trumpet and Horn and good ones to learn.
But enough of that. So, yeah, I'm stuck here all day, so I figure at some point, I'm going to go outside into the car and get my homework and start reading that. Yay for that. I'm interested in learning more about the Mongols, they seem like lesbians, only they're men. *lol* Just kidding, ladies. Momma loves her lesbian sisters! I think a little later on, I'm going to take a shower (if I don't find anything better to do), and I'm going to watch the rest of my "educational" video, and by "educational," I mean pornographic. :-D
Be nice and behave yourselves, so you don't turn out like me. :)
