Look at Momma now!

Hi kids,

Wow, the time between this posting and the last posting has been less than a month--I think I'm trying to set a new personal record or something. Since I got to school early and really don't want to practice quite yet, I thought I'd give you a little update as to what's going on in my corner of the universe.

So first of all, I've been really getting into a French philosopher called the Marquis de Sade. Actually, I've been into him since last year, but this is the first time I've actually read through more than one of his short stories. He was this guy in the 18th century that was in jail a good portion of his adult life because he wrote such controversial books. He's really a genius (although, at the same time, one must recognize that he's sick). If any of you saw the movie "Quills," I'm told that's who the movie is made after (I didn't see the movie myself, so I can't say either way). Also, an Italian director made a movie based off of one of his books, "The 120 Days Of Sodom," and hands down, this is the most disturbing movie I've ever seen in my life. It's a good flick, don't get me wrong, but the sexual deviancy that is portrayed in there is just frightening. But I'd suggest seeing it. Good stuff.

Oh my gosh! Yesterday, it had been about six days since I had last shaved, and I was starting to look like a mountain man. So I thought to myself, "Well, I'm going to have to shave today, but since I went this long without shaving, I might as well see what I can do with what I've grown out." I shaved off all the stubble that I wasn't going to need, and very nicely shaped something out, which--if I do say so myself--makes me look pretty sexy. Or something. :-P I was pissed, because yesterday was the day that I shaved, and I was really excited for people to see what I had done. Evidentally, I hadn't done enough (or hadn't grown enough), because all day, nobody noticed. ANd it's not like I have 3 hairs growing and expect people to notice--this is a pretty significant change in my normally clean-shaved appearance. Meh. We'll see if the bitches say anything today.

In other news, the gay men's chorus concert is this weekend, and Momma's so excited!!! I always love concerts with the choir, and honestly, they're always the most fun to perform overall. The audience is way cool, and when we need instrumentalists to play with us, we always have the finest ones around backing us up. Nothing but the best for us queens!!!

You may remember "Josh" from my last posting. Not much to say about that, really. We've E-Mailed back and forth a couple of times, and it's pretty regular, so that's good. At least he's still interested in holding a dialogue. By the way his E-Mails look, he's not really used to responding to such long letters on a regular basis (I mean, if my Oasis posts are any indication, I write fairly long E-Mails). Keep in mind, I'm the guy that on a regular basis exchanges 2000 word E-Mails back and forth with another online friend of mine.

The past week or two I've been sick with a cold (or allergies, I can't tell which), so I've been not at my best. And since I have a concert coming up, I can't go out to the bars on my favorite nights (like this past Sunday or this coming Thursday), because the smoke with irritate my already irritated throat, and I'll sing badly on Saturday and Sunday. And since I'm a bit poorer that usual, I can't go out even to my favorite restaurant/lounge and have a cocktail, because I really can't afford such things at this point in time. Ack! And let me tell you, after work yesterday, I needed a drink.

I think that's all for now--I'd better get to practicing. I hope all you kids are doing well, and the school is almost out for you (I've still a another month). And as always, be nice and behave, so you don't turn out like me.

:-P
