i asked my parents how they would react if they saw me kissing a girl. my mom
went totally wacko. she thinks that i'm hiding a relationship. advise to
parents of LGBT youth: yelling at you kid doesn't convince them to tell you
everything. in fact, it only makes them want to close in even more.
folks, i am really trying to relate to my parents, and my mom just isn't
getting it. any help?

RUN!

The wrath of a mother is a scary thing, and if she's anything like mine the "wrath of God" won't be far behind. If Dee, my mother, found out about me anytime soon, being the scary religious wacko she is, she'd most likely beat me within an inch of my life with a realy big, and heavy Bible, then crucify me or something. Now, I believe in God and all but Dee is just insane about the whole thing. I don't believe in her hateful god that surpresses pretty much everything. MY God loves me for who I am and made me just the way he likes me.
Anywho,
In your case, either just cave and tell whatever truth there is to be told or find some way to prove otherwise. On the other hand you might just have to bare with it until she gives up... Sry, but thats the best I've got friend.

thanks...

thanks for the thoughts. i'm sorry about your mother, it really sucks when you can't relate to the person who is supposed to love you no matter what.
