close call

This is my first entry.. finally got something to talk about, well sort of. I'm totally in the closet and so it's kinda funny, coz I was at the shops with my sister and we were looking around and I had my jumper on and I said

"Shit, it's hot".

and she turns around and looks at me and has this confused/semi - disgusted look on her face and says

"Did you say, she looks hot?"

I paused for a second in slight shock because it was a scary moment that she was so close to sort of knowing, but I just told her what I had really said and she turned around going back to what she was doing..

It was a really weird situation because it caught me by surprise and I was almost tempted to say "Yep sure did". I wish the expression on her face wasn't so freaked out!

a friend once said to me " oh and he said so what lesbians drink dr pepper then???"" - this was about a friend- to which i responded- "he said that!! but i dont drink dr pepper " i tried to recover but from then on i think she has had her eye on

1 in 3 women think of having sex or experimenting with other women

"Should I smile because we're friends or frown because thats all we'll ever be?"

Yeah unfortunately i know how you feel, my parents are totally opened minded when it comes to others but if they were to ever find out their precious daughter was not so all american god i don't know what they would do, which sucks. So i am right there with you with the looks thrown our way, solidarity sucks ( in this situation)

Ah, close calls...

I once unthinkingly agreed with a straight guy that the girls in the show our music department had just gone to see were pretty hot... (see my journal for the full funny details...). And two days ago I told my crush that she wasn't straight. Those were the times when I spoke before thinking, and thus couldn't resist. But oh, all the words and comments left unsaid, all the opressed thoughts...

Ack. I'm getting disgustingly poetic. Sorry about that.

Being closeted has its entertaining moments.

:)... Very funny story. Do you think your sister might suspect it on some level?

I'm out to my mom but not my dad, and we were talking the other day about this TV show he likes, and he goes, "...His friend is this cop, who got shot, unfortunately. But she's okay. She's a lesbian, you'll be happy to know." And I was like, "Oh, cool! -- Wait. What?"... Yeah... It was funny...
