My new/old job: Day 1

Hi kids,

Last night was my first REAL night back at the restaurant. And let me tell you, it was like coming home again. I started off doing a banquet (which I wasn't happy about, but I suppose that it was something that I needed to do, because it really helped me get my bearings again). As soon as I was done with that one, I was drafted from that one to another one. Then the story gets good....

First, I should say that I felt kinda bad for leaving the first banquet that I was at, because I was working with another girl, and she had to clear and set up again after they had left. Needless to say, she had a lot of work to do that night.

Be that as it may, I went over to the other banquet room to start helping out in there. I heard something about them being Germans, but nobody told me they were HOT, college-aged, German guys! Needless to say, I had a WONDERFUL time with them. On top of being fantastic eye candy for me, they were also very polite on top of that, so it just made things that much easier.

Since I had worked two banquets, I ended up going home with $92, which isn't bad for a Tuesday. In fact, it was probably more than anybody walked with (since Tuesdays are generally slow). The downside, though, was that I got home at about 1:00 a.m. Meh. You can't have it all.

So today, I think after I work out, but before work, I'm going to go to the bank and deposit my money, lest I become in a mood to spend it on frivolous things. :-P Let's hope that I don't get another banquet tonight, but the possibility exists. Ugh. But we'll see what happens when I get there. At least I get to work with one of the cute bussers tonight, though.

That's all for now. If anything exciting happens tonight, I'll be sure and write about it. :)
