Nothing Important

I’ve got to fix this uncomfortable tune
Yet being inept at this appealing art
It won’t be any time soon
This inaudible noise is incessant
It’s driving me mad
An incomplete cycle of consent
With the gravel over which
I accidentally stand
And there’s a drizzle overhead
That is proving to be dubious
At the words left unsaid
Unproductive and failing
I laugh at myself nervously
When a figurative figure
Answers immediately
Without warning
Of what was to come
Or what was to be done
Then the grass turns anorexic
And there’s water on my lawn
When the drizzle finally takes its pick
Out of water and sky
There’s a flicker of desire
In the literal metaphors
Of desperate want and simple require
And I’m sitting with an old drum and difficult guitar
Thinking how I’ve got to fix this uncomfortable tune
Yet being inept at this obstinate art
It wont be any time soon

I want to turn it into some sort of song..but...thats not going so welll
