Yes this is random.

The temperature of body is the measure of its degree of hotness or coldness.
In order for the temperature of a body to be assessed- one has to consider how hot it is or how cold it is or whether or not it is lukewarm (and if so what temperature is lukewarm? is it hotter than it is cold or colder than it is hot?- where’s the midpoint? Has it been scientifically defined? no, its indefinable. Consider a case where the two (hot and cold) are virtually mutually exclusive, where one is not cold it is therefore hot and where one is not hot it is therefore cold-
Hot and cold rely on each other to define themselves.

Accordingly in my life I have come to the conclusion that heterosexuals, especially homophobic heterosexuals are only heterosexual because they are not homosexuals. Its just like hot and cold, regardless of the degree of hotness or coldness whichever side one is tending towards more, that is therefore their set temperature. Heterosexuals need homosexuals and vice versa, without them they would have no sexual identity, for without cold, ‘hot’ wouldn’t be hot (if there’s nothing to compare it to) and the other way round.
Humans rely too much on comparisons in order to define themselves and the world around them.

To define something is to restrict its meaning.

Yes. I did say this was random- a random stream of thought.

Sorry to burst your bubble

But what about asexuals?

its just a little theory- no bubbles burst sorry ;)

oh simple- to every rule ( in science and everywhere else) there is an exception
or- in every equation there is a constant that has to be latched on - one that does not fit in the squared/cubed/etc'd term.

asexuals happen to be that exception.

Hey miss Tao!

That sounds a lot like a Taoist philosophy. Okay, lets' just say we don't label things in relation to other things... Using your example: are you sure you test bath water and say it's hot just because it's not cold? Don't you just say it's hot cause... well... it is.

I mean, I said I was gay - not because I am not straight, but just because, I'm GAY. Therefore, yeah, you can call me straight/bisexual, because I liked guys or find some (celebrities) hot, but that doesn't change the fact that I'm gay. Cause that's what I am, independently of not being straight. Whoa.....I confused myself.

Signed: call me what you will.

Dialectic!

Everything contains within it contradictions that depend upon each other- in this case sexuality is composed of heterosexuality and its antithesis, homosexuality, which have synthesized together into a spectrum that transcends reduction to labels.
Or maybe reality only derives any definite qualities from contrast. Would we think of ourselves as real if we had no concept of non-existence?

Change is the only constant.

2sides

1. i still maintain that fundamentally e main issue about being 'gay' is that ur not straight, that is what makes you gay.
it wouldnt be gay if there was no straight and e other way round

2.Would we think of ourselves as real if we had no concept of non-existence?
then how does eternity come into the equation?
if there is such a thing as eternal life after deathe then we can easily go on to say that this 'life' is only a warm up, a dress rehearsal to the 'real' performance, the real life- which is after death?
