I call it standing up to the government. The U.S. won't recognize it anywhere, so why not do it in a state that will accept us even if the government won't. Then, when I go to my home state, I can fight to have it recognized by my State government. Fight back man!

All of you are missing that Connecticut allows gay marriages, as well. My grandparents live there and I love it there so I'd probably get married in CT.

They give "civil unions", not marriage. They might mean the same thing to you, but certainly not to many of us.
