Well... The SLow Poisoner, who is a SF based musician who used to front the Slow Poisoners, is awesome. I like my own too, I call my genre 'indie folk rock opera'

ska is like...the mighty mighty bosstones...they use trumpets in there music. There more upbeat. It's pretty good.

Ska is a fusion of brass and rock. and saxophones... and sometimes other instruments too. A good band that was really indie, but then caught on is Streetlight Manifesto. Its a really great genre... pursue it.
