Okay I lied, but I got you to open this thread didn’t I? But Julie Anne Peters did host a spelling bee at my school in elementary school once; I think I was in third grade.
Anyway, I’ve read Keeping You a Secret and I just finished reading Far From Xanadu a couple of days ago. I thought it was really good. I really like her writing; I think she makes it so it is easy to relate to her characters. I couldn’t put either of those books down for a second. I finished them in a day. I hate it when I do that, then I don’t have anything to read lol.
It was awesome in Keeping You a Secret that I totally knew where she was talking about with street names and stuff. Knowing that she lives in Lakewood makes me feel so close to the action. The street names make me think maybe she lives like on my street and I don’t know it. Wouldn’t that be awesome? Unlikely, but awesome. Sorry, I’m just really easily star struck, or I guess you could call it ‘writer struck’.
Does anybody else have any opinions on Julie Anne Peters and her writing?
