The Famous Five

When I was a kid I read The Famous Five series by Enid Blyton over and over and over... I had almost forgotten
about them until I was shopping today and came across "The Famous Five- Smugglers Gold THE MUSICAL" on DVD!

Oh my freaking God it was SO AWESOME!!!

"Quentin Dear I just made you a custurd tart with oodles of cream!"
"Mmmm, something smells delicious, Fanny!"

"Jumping jellybeans!"

A HA HA .. Brilliant stuff.
But anyway, the point of this post that watching it bought back some memories. When I was about 8-9-10 I
totally had the biggest thing for the character George! For those of you who don't know, George is the girl
who hates silly girls and pink and wears boys clothes and gets called George instead of Georgina.

I remember now that when I was little I wanted to BE George and I tried my damnedest to be for ages. LOL.

Anyone else had any similar experiences?

True, true

I read quite a few of the famous five books when I was a kid and I thought George was the coolest thing since sliced bread.

I liked george too - and obvi

I liked george too - and obviously timmy the dog but thats irrelevant. I liked the way that george didnt care about how she was a complete tomboy and that she was jst completely herself. I think shes an inspirational character for us all.

Similar experiances? Why Dick, just the other day I went off for a picnic only to foil some smuggler's plan's, rescue the duchess' daughter, save the missing rocket fuel and shoot some bally foreigners. And I got back in time for lashings of ginger beer
