Fell asleep on the couch in the living room at noon and slept until after two. I honestly can't remember the last time I took a nap, and I never nap in the living room because it's all public like and too weird for my tastes, but no one was home.
I was up until after four last night and then woke up at like seven because my friend's cat was crawling all over me and some stupid little kid at my friend's house woke us all up by being really loud.
The party was pretty cool, we had the standard night time adventure thing. We drove down to the beach to watch the sunset but missed it by like three minutes and then it started raining so we went back to the house and roasted marshmallows. Later, at like eleven or so we went to the park and hung out on the swings and then wrapped everything up with an hour wandering the cemetery.
C and A are in fact dating which is pretty cool and yet kind of amusing because that ups the homosexual level to about three out of ten.
My encounter with C was pretty amusing because we were hanging out in AM's living room and she sat next to me on the couch and the conversation went something like this:
C: So, I recently realized that I'm bisexual.
Me: Um...that's great. I'm gay.
C: Did you just realize that too?
Me: Um, no....
C: So you've known for a while?
Me: Uh huh.
C: I don't think that love should know a gender.
Me: Oh, well that's a nice sentiment.
C: I like androgynous emo boys.
Me: That's...good...I guess?
So, I've been out for a good portion of the school year but I haven't seen C much since the beginning of the year and no one told her. I didn't tell her specifically because she was the one who accosted me about my sexuality last february and and made me feel really uncomfortable and insecure, more so than I already was at the time. So her realization is pretty recent in comparison to mine, but I guess falling in love with your best friend can be pretty subtle....
Man, the whole thing made me really sad that I was leaving my friends, especially because they have a much stronger support system than the ones I've been hanging out with most of the year, things would have been so much easier.
Oh well, C and A will be in Santa Cruz which isn't very far from where I'm going so we'll be able to meet up some during next year.
But, yeah, I'm super with the sleepy.
