Messy God

Sway's picture

Messy God, I am your child
And I’m calling you from hell
I don’t think that You will listen
but I have a tale to tell

I’m a gay guy, do You hate me?
Do You really care that much?
Does it matter that You made me
and I can’t change what I am?

Do You really think You’re perfect?
Please just take a look around
This disorder’s Your creation
Do you think You’re perfect now?

Yes, I blame You for my weakness
Yes, I blame You for my pain
Can You blame me for these feelings
when You hurt me all in vain?

If You want to prove You love me
You don’t need to change the world
You just speak into my mind
And please say to me these words

“Oh my son I’ll always love thee
And you’re perfect as you are
I created you this way
Do your thing, you’re still my son

Superb

Awesome poem. I can definitely relate to it. The way I look at it, if God didn't love me, I'd probably be in hell by now!

"Those who dream by night, in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that all was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes, and make it possible." T.E. Lawrence
