Going, Going, Gone

msquared's picture

The days rush in
Of the inevitable
Before the miles swallow you
In quiet separation
We say our goodbyes
And surrender to the tears
Invading our bodies
The memories dance in time
On the soul’s cinema now
Brimming at the matinee
Emotions travel through an embrace
Orbiting through this bloody circuit
Around the percussion of our hearts
And these vessels
They part
A flash of tooth and
Flick of the wrist
Then you’re gone
And in the rustling of the trees
Like static through a tired radio
Beneath it all, the world sings
I miss you
Over and over...

Glad to know I'm not the only one missing people. Great inspiration! I love the part about the world singing and memories dancing. Keep it up!
