Okay, I've said these before, but I want to make sure everyone knows the ground rules here so that this project goes smoothly, so here we go again:
1. If you want the rough draft of your submission critiqued by the editors (and the rest of Oasis) PRIOR to submitting it to me, you must post it on the Gay Like Me forum. Otherwise there's no guarantee that the editors will look at it or comment on it.
THIS IS THE CRITICAL ONE:
2. Once you have finished your piece, you must, I repeat MUST email it to me at firstname.lastname@example.org in order for it to count as a submission. We will not go in and pull your piece off the forum. If you don't email it to me, it will not go into the publication. Period.
3. The deadline by which I need to receive your submissions is February 25th. There will be a grace period, but if you let it go too long, your submission will be declined.
4. All works will be published under your Oasis handle, not your real name. This is not a choice, it is a requirement. It saves us from legal hassles that we just don't want to deal with.
Okay, those are the rules. I will repeat them again and again until you're all sick of them, because I don't want someone accusing me of not making the guidelines clear, and I certainly don't want a piece that someone has worked hard on not make it in because of a silly mistake. If you have any questions about anything, you can PM me or any of the other three editors:
The Mouse that Roared
Good luck everyone! We've seen some great stuff on the forum so far. Keep up the good work.
