Many people says the bible says homosexuality is wrong. I'm not taking a stand on this yet. However, I've done some research and most of this conclusion is up to how you interpret the bible. What is the bible REALLY saying? I'm trying to make up my mind here about this particular verse. What do yall think? There are very few verses that talk about homosexuality, if those even, because again it is up to interpretation. This verse sticks out because of all the verses I looked up, this is the only one that somewhat talks about.. not homosexuality but.. the closest to it anyhow. Here's the verse...
If a man also lie with mankind as he lieth with a woman, both of them have commited an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
So here, the 1st "man" means a male because later the pronoun is "he". So what about women? This could be talking about threesomes, hermaphrodites.. or whatever else. I'm not sure what to make of it. What I get from it is that a male should not be with another male like he is with a woman. But even that comes with questions. WHY should they not do that? And how is "with a woman"... Does that mean, not treat the male like a female? Does that mean a male should not have vaginal intercourse with a male (hermaphrodite) like he would with a woman? Or what does that mean!
There's also this other verse..
...love covereth all sins.
So if love covereth all sins, can we say,... no matter what you do, we are God's children... We all sin, but if we are good people, it's okay. You may sin, but all that matters is... Are you a good person?
Am I the only one that does this? Lately I've been so into the bible, as a research tool... WRITE BACK!
