Yeah… Basically, I made a comment to my mom that I wanted to watch the movie The Lord of the Dance because it has girls in tights dancing in it (Lord of the Dance is this musical/dancing show/play from Ireland that my mom and dad have on VHS), and my mom laughed and said that I was a “horny bitch.”
It was really weird. Now, I’m not denying the fact that I’m horny, I just don’t like being called a bitch. I’d rather my mom had said something like, “You’re such a horny teenager.” Then I wouldn’t deny it. But a bitch? I don’t think so.
Moving on, I’ve gotten inspiration for a gay/lesbian musical. As much as I love RENT, it isn’t about adults. It’s about gay teenagers trying to survive in the dark pit of homophobia otherwise known as high school. The whole musical thing isn’t really much of a priority, though, since I’m writing a huge story right now (which I hope becomes a novel!) and therefore don’t have much time to devote to it. Plus, I can’t write music very well, so that would be a bit of a problem. The only instrument I know how to play is the guitar, and those don’t tend to be used much in musicals. Ugh.
I got all A’s and B’s on my report card yesterday, and my dad got me the musical RENT on DVD as a prize. I luuuuuuuuuuurve RENT. :) It freaking rocks. Idina Menzel is soooo hot.
I also found this awesome shirt on an equally awesome site that I’m planning to ask my mom about getting: http://www.cafepress.com/prideinart.54773672
Pretty cool, huh? I want to wear it in public, and eventually at school. I’ve been thinking about being more out at my school lately, so I may as well get this T-shirt.
I’m basically feeling pretty good right now, which I hope doesn’t change anytime soon. :D
