I feel random

I just feel like pointing out random information that is completely pointless.

Venus not only rotates on its axis backwards compared to the rest of the planets, but its day is longer than it's year.

The Sombrero Galaxy is about 50,000 light years away from us.

1 in 10 people is gay, compared to 1,000 years ago, when it was suspected that 1 in 8 were gay, and possibly 1 in 7 were bisexual (I'm pretty sure that those are the right stats. It's something like that. Feel free to correct me)

It's projected that Yellowstone National Park will erupt as a massive volcanic upheaval in the next 50 years. The southern (I think. it might be one of the other directions) end of one of the lakes is rising because of a huge magma bubble under the surface.

The two most recent rovers we sent to Mars (Spirit and Opportunity) were expected to survive for 90 days. Two years later, they were still being driven around and sending back information. It is concidered one of the most successful NASA/JPL mission every.

California is the only state in the US to have an element named after it. Californium is the 96th element on the Periodic Table of the Elements. It's symbol is Cm, and it is synthetically created.

America and Poland are the only two elements to be named after countries. America's is Americum (# 95; symbol Am), and Poland's is Polonium (#84; symbol Po). Polonium was named by Madame Marie Curie for her home country.

I could go on, but I dont' feel like it. You can get back to a meaningful world now!
