Pianos

God, I love music. I love the piano. It's a fantastic instrument because you can get so much sound from it....... and every piano is different. Slightly, but they're all different. Even if the instrument is almost exactly the same as another, the setting is different, the position of your seat is different... and it can change everything. I sat down at the gorgeous grand piano in my school auditorium today and just... played. I felt so inspired. I haven't gotten nearly this intense a wave of inspiration on my keyboard at home in ages. (When I say keyboard, I mean electric, but really really nice, full length and weighted keys and everything...) But... but I was just in a different place, on a really nice piano, and I just played, and it felt fantastic. And I think it sounded good too. And just........ it made me happy. Extremely happy.

Nice.

Creating stuff makes people happy. I'm sure it's the same for everything.

I get what you're talking about when you that you "think" it sounded good. When you're playing it...you really can't tell, can you?

Mmm Pianos are amazing. I love playing piano, for a lot of reasons you said, and also, because if it's a decent insturment, if you press the C key, a C comes out. And etc and etc.

Be yourself. 'Cause if you're busy being somebody else, who's gonna be you?

I used to play the piano

I used to play the piano some years ago (I was obsessive about the piano... long story), and I totally agree with that. Every piano, even if it's exactly the same as other one, feels differently. They all have their own past, their own history. There are pianos with different personalities, do you agree? like pianos that make everything sound merrier, or more melancholic.

Dear god, of course there

Dear god, of course there are pianos with different personalities. The weird thing is, I haven't figured out the personality of my keyboard at home. Probably just because this is the only one I have, so I need to be able to play all types of music on it...

I have a nice Piano in my

I have a nice Piano in my room, and it used to be very nostalgic. Then, I played piano for lots of time, but I kind of became too obsessed, and my parents hinted a conservatory. I really wanted to be a lawyer, so I freaked out, and never touched the piano again. Someone comes and tunes the piano every once in a while, but I haven't had the nerves to sit down and try to play... I am too scared I have forgotten it all.
