The Magic of the City

There's something about San Francisco that makes me happy. It calms me and makes me happy to be in the city. It's so beautiful, and there's so much to do. (Not to mention all the rainbow stuff to buy). My weekend was supposed to be a rainbow-filled shopping one, but then my sister decided to ditch school and tag along. So the four of us (my mom, step-dad, sister, and me) checked into our hotel on Saturday, taking an extra long time because of the ~extra~ person who didn't have a bed. We had a room service dinner and watcher two movies. The Wizard of Oz, and The Corpse Bride. We were on the 44th floor, and there were binoculars in our room to watch all the little ant-like people below. On Sunday, we went shopping. We went to all sorts of fun places...... But my favorite was the Castro. :-) Rainbows on every lamp post make me happy. I bought a rainbow sticker with the 2 female symbol things and flames.... But, with my sister there, I had to be extra super-duper careful. I also bought a lot of books at used books stores. There are a lot of really cool used books stores in SF. I saw Luna, too. She's the moon. But I saw her face in a store. She was made out of some sort of metal, and hung on the wall. I just stared at her for the longest time. I have this thing about her, and I cringe whenever someone addresses her as "it." Or addresses her at all. I feel as if she's sort of mine. Sometimes she talks to me. I read her lips, because sound won't travel that far directly to my ears.

but now, back to reality. The magic of the city has passed, and I have to do my homework and go to school. And socialize. Talking to people and maintaing relationships has always been more like a chore for me.

Work, Work, Work. I have 2 impossible proofs and 1 hour of writing to do....

I used to think my world was

I used to think my world was gray, too. Until I stopped seeing in black and white. I just took off the lenses (AKA antidepressants) and everything came to life. There is beauty in everything if only you look. It opens the skies as sure as a book. And in the story of color, a sound, a lyre. Plays strings through the beings through my heart.....

Very cool. I was overcome

Very cool. I was overcome with "gayness" there..... It was a lot of fun. And the rainbows were uplifting, to say the least.
