New movies

I bleed audio's picture

So the new year is upon us and with it, another year of blockbusters that are sure to be creating a bit of anticipation.

Are there any

A) movies you've recently seen and your review of them
B) movies that are due to come out this year and why you are anticipating it

I personally am planning to see sweeney todd this weekend. I mean when you mix Johnny Depp and Tim Burton together not to mention having an awesome story in the first place, I'm sure it will be amazing.

I'm also looking forward to the new Iron man movie, I personally don't like Iron man as a character (He did bring upon the events that led to the death of captain america) but I think the movie will be pretty good, but you never know, with marvel it's pretty hit or miss.

Juno was really good. For a movie about a serious topic, the humor makes it bearable...You'll laugh, you'll cry...and you won't regret spending 8 bucks!

Yay, now they don't think you're queer, just a slut!

I'm a huge Tim Burton fan, but Sweeney Todd definetely wasn't his best film ever... although it was pretty good, so I'd recommend it. Johnny Depp is a God, and you can't fight that.

Juno was cute... and I laughed a bit... but am I the only person who found the character Juno to be extremely annoying? That little bitch is just so fucking annoying. I also strongly dislike Jennifer Garner. My fave ppl were Allison Janney (Brenda the Stepmom) and Leah (Juno's redhead-ish friend- she was hot).

Actually, the majority of the films that I have been watching recently are porn... mainly good-quality, girl-girl stuff. I don't know anything about gay-male porn. But if you're a girl and you like watching sexy girls touch and play with and fuck eachother, I recommend looking up Sunny Leone, Jenna Jameson, & Aria Giovanni (their films are all pretty mainstream and of high production value).

I highly recommend Alvin & the Chipmunks... I saw it twice and I LOVE it! I also have a huge crush on Theodore. He's the best.

I saw a pre-view for the upcoming Veggie-Tales movie. I have actually never seen any Veggie-Tales stuff before, cuz apparently it's all about Jesus & friends, and I'm just a little Jewish devil-girl who has no interest in that... but their new movie has gone totally secular, and it's about pirates. VEGETABLES WHO ARE PIRATES! PIRATES WHO ARE VEGETABLES. I don't know what kind of drugs the writers were on when they came up with that idea, but I have a feeling that I am going to like it.

I felt the same way about

I felt the same way about Juno, my little sister loved it, but I felt that the Juno character was weirdly smug, it annoyed the hell out of me. Pretty in character for a sixteen year old though. I kept having high school flashbacks too, which was probably part of it.
The step-mom was awesome though. Mmm... weimaraners....

As for Veggie-Tales...I'd take them over Spongebob any day, and I'm an atheist. This probably has to do with having been forcefed them as an adolescent at church. But I don't recommend exposing children to them, it's nice brightly colored religious indoctrination that teaches them to clean up after themselves.

Grrr I want to see Juno so

Grrr I want to see Juno so bad, but the only person that would A: actually go with me is my brother, and B: appreciate the movie is my brother. And he's off at college! Ah well. Also, I like the fact that the character Juno seems like a smug, annoying person. I love sarcastic people, partly because I am one myself.

wow Ruby you went from girl on girl porn to veggie tales...what a transition

No, I kinda want to see juno but I still cringe when I see the main actress, she played the little girl in hard candy and I automatically link her to the scene of faux castration...Eww just thinking of it sends shivers up my spine

I saw the Kite Runner last

I saw the Kite Runner last week and it was awesome! I was a little disappointed because it left out some main points that the book covered, but if it had included everything it would've been five hours long.
I also saw the Golden Compass which I thought was really good, though I haven't read the books in a long time, so I couldn't be as criticle in the comparison.

I just saw Juno tonight... I

I just saw Juno tonight... I liked it. It was swell.

Movie I am anticipating....Jack and Diane.... The reason I am wanting to see it though is because Ellen Page (Juno) and Olivia Thirlby ( Juno's friend, Leah) are playing lesbians! Yaaay! Here is the plot I just copied and will paste because I'm lazy and bad at explaining things:

Jack (Olivia Thirlby) and Diane (Ellen Page), two teenage girls, meet in New York City and spend the night kissing ferociously. Diane's charming innocence quickly begins to open Jack's tough skinned heart. But, when Jack discovers that Diane is leaving the country in a week she tries to push her away. Diane must struggle to keep their love alive while hiding the secret that her newly awakened sexual desire occasionally turns her into a werewolf.

Ellen Page from Juno is so

Ellen Page from Juno is so fucking hot. She's probably my only true girl celebrity crush. I watched Juno with my girlfriend a week ago and I was secretly drooling over Ellen page the whole time. My girlfriend leaned over and expressed that she found Juno to be extraordinarily cute as well, which I found interesting. But then she declared that Juno looks exactly like me, and I was slowly creeped out by finding her hot. I hope that doesn't make me narcissistic, but I'm sure it does.

I saw juno last weekend,

I saw juno last weekend, yeah it was pretty amazing. It's made me want to get my own hamburger phone. I currently want to go see that "Untracable" movie. Also does anyone know what the name of the new Jack Black movie is? I'm talking about the one where he accidentally erases all the tapes in a video store and him and (I think) Morgan Freeman go and create their own versions of the erased movies becoming a cult phenomenom.
