I sent a suggestion to the library nearby, that they should get Keeping You A Secret...I guess we'll see if they do. I hope they do cause I'd like to read it.

Do you guys have any other suggestions for Young Adult lesbian books that I should read? Preferably Teen lesbian romance....

Annie on my Mind
Far from Xanadu
grl2grl
Empress of the World
The Rules for Hearts (sequel to Empress)

All of those are have lesbians in them. grl2grl is like a little collection of short stories about lesbians/with lesbians in them. Its a really good book. They all are actually.

Thanks for the recommendations

The library nearby has The Rules for Hearts but not Empress Of The World.......Right, cause that makes so much sense. It's got all of the other books, though. So, maybe I can check some of those out in the meantime. Thanks.

Annie on My Mind!! Kissing

Annie on My Mind!! Kissing Kate, I guess, is one. I've heard good things about Swish and Empress of the World.

Megan: "Cheers are supposed to be simple, make people feel good."
Graham: "Cheers make girls do stupid cartwheels. Orgasms make people feel good."

Thanks:)

Maybe I'll get Annie On My Mind. Although, Some people say that it's out dated. And the library did have Kissing Kate but the person lost it, lol.

I concur with those who

I concur with those who liked Annie On My Mind — it was actually the first gay teen novel I read. It came out in 1982, so maybe it IS a little dated, but I don't find the age all that noticeable except for the lack of cell phones and computers. The story's good enough to hold up for way more than 26 years.

Other good books by that author (it's Nancy Garden): The Year They Burned the Books (newer) and Good Moon Rising (only I think it's out of print).

I would like to read Keeping You a Secret, but it must be popular cuz it's always checked out. I don't quite have the guts to place a hold on it. :-) Far From Xanadu I just read today and I didn't like it. It was hard to identify with the main character's feelings when I found myself despising her love interest, who was OBVIOUSLY just playing her. But, could be me. I want the stories about successful romances. :-)

Next time I'm at the library

Next time I'm at the library I'll have to read the first few pages of Annie On My Mind and get a feel for it.

No, me too. I like to read the romances where the couple ends up together:)

Thanks for the book suggestions:)
