Chick Flicks

Today, I count myself as a real woman, I finally understand the meaning of chick flicks, their purpose, their ability to make otherwise sensible women believe in a happily ever after, it all makes sense now. I'm not saying that I like them, on the contrary, my knew found knowledge as to how they work only makes me hate them even more; with a fiery, burning passion that can never be extinguished. The false hope each movie gives to women only damages already frail marriages and make women who have amazing people in their lives hold back in false hope that a white knight in shining armour will come and sweep them off their feet. When does it end? When will the women of now wake up from their chiseled abed European fantasies and come back into the real world of beer bellied med. I hate chick flicks.

I learned a lot from chick flicks, but the most important lesson: If you show interest in someone, and they claim they are repulsed by you and would never go out with you in a million years, just keep at it. Show up where they work. Send them flowers. Leave voice mails, IMs, text messages. Eventually, they'll realize they loved you all along.

Not sure how you can discount that with such cavalier indifference.
