Easy...

Oasis is hosted by Adrian's friend's company for free.

He most likely set what he assumed to be a bandwidth allotment that seemed safe and that we were unlikely to go over.

We went over it, so it tossed up what it does for their paying customers, which is "You're using more than you paid for, so give us more money or you're done for the month."

When the site started showing that message, Adrian was on a plane, and he's our contact with the hosting guy, since it's his friend.

So, however long it took Adrian to land, him to check his e-mails, contact his friend, and his friend to reset us = the length of time of the blackout.

I am assuming a lot of this, as Adrian and I don't triage issues like this. I e-mail him, he fixes them, and we really don't chat about it, heh.
