Drinks or Life

I used to love drinking Coke. A lot.
Especially cool Coke after scorching sun.

The thrilling taste of carbon dioxide bubbles bursting on your tongue.
The smell of sugar in disguise.

The feeling that you always craved more,
Even when your teeth is coated with caffeine and turned yellow.

It was full of excitement, refreshment, and exhilaration,
And I was addicted to it.

Until one day it excites me no more,
So I returned back to water.

Pure, plain, ordinary water.
And it became my new lover ever since.

The colourless, transparent, liquid makes me feel human.
Just like the people who lived before us thousands of years ago,

When Coke was a thing of imagination,
And drinking was more for the body than tongue.

It was then that I realized,
Simplicity is the taste of real happiness.

For drinks, and for life. =)

I read this as I drink a vanilla Coke...

I have to agree that in general, simplicity is best. But the caffeine... I need the caffeine.

I've never

drank a vanilla Coke before... How does that taste like? Sugar free?

Nothing is good or bad, but thinking makes it so.

Merric's picture

oh, it definitely has sugar...

lots and lots of sugar.

It's basically like regular Coke with a hint of vanilla mixed in. And vanilla is one of my favorite flavors.

i'll have to wait for that

i'll have to wait for that day. right now, caffeine.

so for those of you falling in love
keep it kind, keep it good, keep it right
throw yourself in the midst of danger
and keep one eye open at night.

Dont worry dear,

judgement day will come :P And it's kinda sad how caffeine never worked on me... I still fall asleep after loads of coffee. =/

I like Coke also. But I love love love Cherry Coke, which I hardly ever have. A lot of times I only drink Coke for the caffeine. I've avoided the coffee addiction for 17 years but...now I may have to convert. This year is going to be crazy for me, and I will most deffinitely need caffeine. I've wanted to try that ghinko tea thingy? I'm not sure what it's called. I find I like water more now too. :)

I hope

you can get through the craziness without caffeine! It's funny how everyone is so hung up on the Coke when I only used it as a metaphor. XD
