I was wondering, what music do you listen to? Personally, I listen to Aqua, bringing you those timeless classics such as "Lollipop", "Roses are Red", and "Barbie Girl". Hehe... Yep. My music represents me, and I'm proud of it.

My favourite bands/people today are The Killers, Joshua Radin, Elton John, America, Muse, Kings of Leon, Queen, Mika, Bloc Party, DCFC, Hello Saferide, Damien Rice, Katy Perry, Cobra Starship, Rufus Wainwright and some 50 others. I also like Opera and classical music a lot...

Well, right now I'm

Well, right now I'm listening to some Rage Against the Machine. However, generally I like indie, alternative and pop. My top five are: Kate Earl, Kate Havnevik, Oren Lavie, Regina Spektor and Imogen Heap/Frou Frou. I also, of course, love Kylie Minogue (she's like Madonna, except not in love herself). Also, I like Anberlin, The Arctic Monkeys, Beck, Hellogoodbye (their music is just so cute!), Local H, Julie Andrews, Metro Station, MGMT, Susan Egan, Utada Hikaru, Yellowcard and 3OH!3.

But pretty much, after I became acclimated with a genre, I like it. For example, the first few times I listened to the Animal Collective, I hated them. However, I listened to them a couple of more times, and I found out that I really liked the music.

I love music. It always seems to help me reflect on myself and my life.

They havesome weird music videos, ewspecially Pretty When You Cry. Awesome song."The test of courage comes when we are in the minority. The test of tolerance comes when we are in the majority." I like experimental stuff,

but that isn't my reason for ressurecting this thread. I sometimes go through your early history because I want to know more about how you started on Oasis and it seems like you haven't changed at all since you joined. You've always been writing like you've been a member for years.

I love 90's rock and grunge:

I love 90's rock and grunge: Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Collective Soul, Green Day, Primus, Bush, Rage Against the Machine, etc.

I like modern rock too, although it's becoming harder to find good, original rock bands. Audioslave, Queens of the Stone Age, Weezer, Foo Fighters, Breaking Benjamin, 10 Years, Tool, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, System of a Down, Seether, Ok Go, Mudvayne, Metallica, Godsmack, Disturbed, etc.

I also listen to some 80's rock. Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, Guns N' Roses, AC/DC.

If you couldn't tell, I take my music very seriously. It is my life. Pretty much anything that can go under the wide umbrella of rock, I listen to, heavy or light.

swimmerguy's picture

Well...

I guess, if my writing style hasn't changed at all, my music preferences certainly have. I'm now much more into contemporary than baroque piano, and all classical, music.

And my favorite bands have changed totally from Aqua, to now my 2 absolute favorite being now Metallica, and especially, Pink Floyd...

Wow.

I just looked up Aqua and that is the gayest music ever.
Anyway, I prefer the Romantic era with Frédéric Chopin, Caude-Achille Debussy, and Pyotr Tchaikovsky (who was gay :D). I also just found out about Mac Lethal and he is awesome:
