I may not be officially vegan but I only eat cheese and the occasional egg because I HAVE to. So by my reckoning I still count.
Destino! Mi Arrendo! Al tuo dominio del tempo!
I eat meat, but it's usually with chicken. Over the course of any normal day, I eat no meat, though I have no principle against it. You have to get your complete proteins. Though I do applaud vegans for standing up for what they believe in.
"The test of courage comes when we are in the minority. The test of tolerance comes when we are in the majority." Margaret Chase Smith
A fair and good point.
But I'm still gonna feel sad for the moo-cows and chickens and other animals you eats, kay? (Don't take that personally or anything, you can eat whatever you want)
Including the cookie you get for voting!
i only eat chicken as a meat source. i figure chickens dont do anything besdies make more chickens anyway. cowas on the othwer hand have a quality of life. cows frolik damn it!
without ferrets, this world would be hell in a a hamster cage
You can get all the protein you need on a vegan diet. I'm not saying a lot of newbie vegans *do*, but you can. ;-)

Haha, I'm not vegan for animal moral stuff. I mean, I care about it, but it's like a bonus. I went vegan for health reasons and plus, I think animal products are just really gross.
Also, the idea that you need to get protein from meat is the biggest lie (Well, no. The idea that you need to get calcium from milk is actually a bigger lie, but I'm not going to start that rant.) I have -never- had any protein (or calcium) deficiency problems and I've been vegetarian for most of my life (and vegan for the past few years.)
I already knew that, but yay for attention to my poll.
Vegan cookie for joo *vegan cookie give*
Very little, aside from forum games, elude me on here. ;-)

"why, does she have a penis?" -Datarock
(cause im geeky like that XD)
Is ok, you get cookie anyway. *cookie give*
I eat beef and pork very rarely (Like.. twice a month for beef, twice a year for pork. I hate pork, except when it's bbq'd lol)
Otherwise I eat chicken and fish..
But I do eat A LOT of vegetarian meals for dinner here at college.. sometimes for lunch, too.
[[Love means you can never be apart... <3]]
Are they the kind of vegetarian meals you get pre-packed that have a big hunk o' meat in 'em?
Anyway *cookie give*
Nope. They're veggie based products, like veggie burgers (we've had those here twice that I know of..), cheese filled shells, vegetable linguine... the list goes on. It's delicious. lol
Im trying to be vegan for my health. So its not really a principle thing, though I do applaud people who do it out of principle.
The longer you're vegan the more the health, environmental, and animal stuff all blends together.
You missed the option for 'I wish I were vegetarian, but I'm not'

COOKIE GIVE *cookie give*
I'm a vegetarian... and have been for... 'bout four years. :D
(I'm 14... that's half of since I can remember. xD)
I could easily be vegan.. but, to be honest, I've never seen the point. >.>
Definitely a vegetarian for animal rights, though, so I feel like I deserve at least half a point for that one!

Torchwood is my second love. John Barrowman is amazingly gorgeous...
From a health perspective, a lot of medical people say that you'd be better off giving up dairy than meat.
And vegetarian for animal rights only works if you hate chickens and cows, heh. If you had to live in the animal agriculture system for a while, I think death would be the better option, rather than giving eggs and milk.
I've been for... A while. I don't remember how long. XD; A few years. But I love it. It was a little difficult the first year. But after that, it's been cakewalk.
And I've never had a serious like, malnourishment issue due to it... Okay, so I got a little B12 deficient once, but that was solved pretty easy. :P
And I have been vegetarian since I was about two. Meat grosses me out completely. Ew.
