Wow... so I haven't been able to use the computer for the past two days because I've been at this gigundo glbtwhateverelse conference.... my gods it was amazing. All that pride... it made me happy. And just like... everybody being completely themselves, whether or not they could be at home. ^^
The first day I went to a workshop that was all dancey and then we sat in circles and talked... it was mandatory. Kinda unfortunate. The second workshop was a panel that I was in... talking to a whole buncha professionals that were asking how they could make schools better about being homophobic and stuff, which I couldn't answer cuz I've actually ahd a -good- experience... so I said like two things. xD
The third was freaking hilarious. Not only was this group of girls and one possible transguy trying to hook me up with their friend the whole time (he was kinda cute, I have his facebook and I'll add him as soon as I can be bothered to go upstairs), but the workshop was called "Self love is safe love." Myjeezus, most hilariously awkward thing ever. Although... they started talking about female anatomy and that got me slightly dysphoric. While I was laughing, though, so it was cool. >>
Aha, did I mention it was awkward? Ftr, I totally only went for the awkwardness. No point otherwise. xDDDD
And then my friend gave me a glow in the dark condom. How great is that? It's not lik eI'll ever use it, but... lawls. Glow in the dark condom. xD
anywho, went home, got back around 6:30, went straight to a basketbal game until 8:30, went out for dinner, got hom at like 10:30 and I had to go to the conference the next day too so I went to bed really quickly.
Next morning: opening show was this transguy, scott turner schofield. He's gorgeous... not as attractive as nph or barromwan, mind you, but accessible and therefore -almost- as cool. I got a signed book by him.
Teh first workshop I went to was also run by him, so that was really fun. The second one was just transguys talking about whatever came to mind.. then my friend and I went downstairs and bought flavored condoms (my other friend wanted some... *shrugs*) and went to a workshop run by two of my friends. It was fun. Just... talking.
Reggae band, etc... going to get food...
DRAG SHOW. Holy crap. Most awesome thing ever. I found a dollar in my wallet and because of it got dirty danced with by a drag queen. So flipping fun... I have an acquaintance that's a drag *king... said queen before. woopss. It was funny. Nyahhhh, it was so great. xDD
Then there was a dance.. which was just my friends and I being crazy. Also fun. xD
Although... there was this one guy, he looked like he was like 21 or soemthing and he kept stalking one of my friends. I was dancing, and he asked my friend about me... my friend immediately goes "He's 14!" I still got stalked and grinded with, but it was probably better than it would've been otherwise. Damn he was creepy... we had to get one of the like runners of the conference to get him to lay off. ><
So now I'm here... happy but exhausted. I have two rainbow bracelets, a ribbon pin, and useless but fun condoms. Good experiences and whatnot. I wish there were more of those sorts of things. >>
Aaaaand yeah. That's it, really. I can hardly function.. so worth it. xD
Man I love my group friends. >>
