True story. She asked if she could be my mom's facebook friend because "she's pretty." When I said that my mom would more than likely accept the request, she went all ecstatic.
I probably should have told her that my mother has a boyfriend and doesn't date 17-year-old girls...
Anyway, I'm currently posting from my phone while sitting in the parking lot of my mom's college. We just got into the most ridiculous argument ever.
She got super mad at me because I do not believe that America should be a Christian theocracy, or a theocracy of any kind, for that matter. She, however, is convinced that it needs to be one. She kind of believes that it already is one, actually...
Me: Mom, how can this country be a theocracy when the First Amendment states that we have religious freedom?
Mom: Because it was made as one!
Me: Then why did they make the First Amendment? And even if it was, times change.
Mom: That doesn't even matter!
Wow, am I arguing with my mom or with French Class Girl? It's getting hard to tell the difference. Dammit. I don't want a crazy fundie for a mom.
