This just cheered me up a lot...

As I was going through the random junk on my computer, trying to clear up a little memory space because my mother has been too busy to come in and move her files (I mean, come on. This computer has been mine for at least a year or two, and your files are clogging up its memory such that before I can add anything new, I have to go find something expendable to erase. Just move them to your new computer already.), I stumbled upon the remains of a 'book' I started writing when I was maybe thirteen or fourteen. I always knew that the story had no plot. It was just a bunch of pirates nerding around in the year 2020. I tried to give it a plot, and all of two chapters later the muse left me and I never wrote in it again. But rereading bits of it just now, I realize that it's pretty funny, in a childish, dumb sort of way. But thinking about it now, the characters all seem pretty...queer. The stowaway girl is obviously bisexual, at least two pairs of guys are too close of buddies to be plausibly platonic (especially on a ship where women aren't allowed), and the captain, now that I look again, is a trans-gay (I think that's what it's called? gay guy in a woman's body? I'm still pretty new to all this terminology...). I mean, he/she has been living as a man for five years, hiding his/her female body under male name, dress, voice, and manner, but he's married to the first mate, who is himself sort of a weird case - he obviously likes the 'wenches' and not the 'buccaneers'...except for the captain...who is secretly his wife...but is a guy...

The mind of one's thirteen-year-old self is a strange thing indeed... Like a whole different person...

I love finding stuff I wrote

I love finding stuff I wrote forever ago. Except poetry. It's neat to see how I thought back in the day. I mean, all my stuff from when I was in elementary is cute or whatever but stuff from middle school on is a nice thing to look back on. And queer tendencies are adundant! One of the things I love.
