So, how did I do during the meet this weekend?
There were about 20 13-14 boys, and I think I got 2nd.
But fortunately and unfortunately, there was a Progidy at the meet.
Not on the lines of Michael Phelps, or Ugur Taner, or even Ed Kim.
But a Progidy nonetheless. Worst of all, he was best in Backstroke. That's MY stroke! MINEMINEMINE!
I got 2nd to him in my best events, the 50 free and 200 back. But I beat him in the 50 back!
It seems like there's a Progidy at every meet. Just some kid who's probably just talented and at the top of his game.
So, this was unfortunate, because he was really fast and tore out my stomach and made me eat it with his quickness.
But there was a silver lining, as he was REALLY REALLY HOT. Like, you don't even understand how hot he was. He was like, really hot.
Like, really, really, really, REALLY hot.
Unfortunately, God seems not too happy about that, or something like that because something's stopping me from getting champs!
I dropped a full second in my 50 free, and 23 seconds in the 200 back that I haven't done in a long time, and 2 seconds in the 100 back.
But guess what?
I'm .2 seconds away in my 50 free, less than half a second in the 200 back, and 1 second away in the 100 back...
There are 2 meets left until champs.
Well, 2 that I can go to.
There's one in 2 weekends on Bainbridge Island, where I'll have the oppurtunity for the 50 free and the 100 back again, and hopefully get champs.
If I don't, there's one last meet, the Age Group Invite, 2 weekends after that, that you need gold times for, that I'll have one more oppurtunity to do the 50 free, 100 back, 200 back and 200 IM for champs.
I just really hope I get the 50 free on Bainbridge so I can relax at the Age Group Invite.
I was really hoping to get champs at this meet.
