Misconception

Misconception

Your words

They cut deep

Penetrating my very soul

Crushing every hope, every dream I had

I don't care, that's what you think

But when you speak, you cause my heart to sink

Your judgment, it can't be right

For you don't know the story behind my fight

At first glance

I don't have a second chance

You analyze me

By what you might see

You twist and turn my words, turn them into lies

And then, I'm the one you all despise

What I've done to you, I'm not sure

A disease I can't cure.
