Languages Classes

I hate language classes. I hate that they're mandatory. I hate them. HAAAATE. They're stupid and they are rediculously useless unless you plan to use it sometime in your life. And, besides the fact they're teaching it so late to us when our brains are pretty much at the minimum absorbent level for language, since as a baby and toddler and even like, up to ten years old, we learn languages like seventy billion times easier :I

Hell, the only reason I'm passing my French class is because my sister taught me some when I was little, and reading Magic Fantastic's French journals :U

If a language wasn't mandatory, you know what I'd take?
Band or art.
YEAH BOY. Or dance class, I guess.

I would seriously consider taking band and orchestra at the same time. Hell, I think I'm going to do that later, like my senior year, join the freshman band or something along with my orchestra. Imagine how good that will look on my College form when I apply for music! Yeahhhhhhh.

The only good thing about language classes, specifically French, is that you find Freakazoids.

That is all.

I know how you feel.

The only thing keeping me from getting into the college that I want to go into is my lack of language courses. It's really uber frustrating but make sure to take at least two terms of language otherwise you won't meet the requirement for a few colleges. (at least the colleges that I've looked up have this requirement)

I think one of my teachers said

That only two colleges in the world or US or something require four years of language. But prestigious colleges like most of the ones in my area of Washington really like it if you have four. Especially the ones I want to go to.

yeah, i'm glad i started

yeah, i'm glad i started language in like kindergarten. it made high school requirements MUCH less unpleasant. sucks though. then again, high school isn't much more than a game of doing what they say to do for the sake of getting out alive. ^^''

Oh I love high school

I just think it should be more like France, where you get to do apprenticeship stuff when you get to high school and actually start going down your path of what you want to be. I think American school systems think that all of us desperately need to learn four years of high school math, four years of science, etc. when really, I already know that most of that I won't need for my career. Anything I want to do would involve things like Psychology, Photography, Music, Art, things like that. Such a waste of time, languages.

I like work. I like hard work, not the bullsh it easy school system we have :U

Maybe the hell would suck, but I don't consider hard work to be a bad thing if I get to take areas that I enjoy :I

I hate them too unless there

I hate them too unless there are freakazoids. Luckily, only 2 years of foreign language are required at my school, so when my freakazoid leaves, I'll never have to sit through one without her.

I think only two years are mandatory here, too, but it looks really good on your college resume or something if you have all four. And I'm gonna need that to get into Western!
