Not the best day in ever

swimmerguy's picture

Basically sat around, completely alone, played the same piano songs over and over again, and wondered again and again if I'd be able to steal any alcohol from the liquor cabinet without my parents noticing.
I couldn't.

(I'm sorry about this, I know no one needs more depressing shit in their lives, but this is just basically where I am right now)

If you need something to do....

I would recommend starting on the World History AP summer assignment, since it has about 50 billion parts to it. :D

I HATE

That they never tell us about that. None of my teachers were even like "uhhh, you also might want to do the summer reading over the summer". Was that so hard?

BWAHAHAHAHAHA

My English teacher mentioned it in passing. Well he mentioned the English 2 Honors reading. I heard about the AP World History project from the Korean girl with the same name as me. It shouldn't be TOO bad... I'll message you the link to what we need to do :D

lol. I hated that...

Only one of my AP Teachers was cool enough to suggest that in high school. oh well.

Mental wounds not healing, driving me insane, i'm goin' off the rails on a crazy train- the ozzman

Sorry about your crummy day

Hopefully today will be better:

The new BBC movie Christopher and His Kind starring Matt Smith will be released on DVD tomorrow (June 28).

It's quite gay (Germany in the 1930s)... and an opportunity to practice your German... although subtitles are provided in the short German stretches.

I bet you could write a great review... :)

If you can't wait for the DVD... you can start viewing it here:

I saw this i thought it was good but his accent annoyed me and i thought it was bit superficial. My friend thought it was horrible as she love matt smith especially in Doctor Who and hated how he was kissing all the guys, she turned it off lol.

Accent...

I think the director was struggling to recreate the pretentiousness as it affected the language of the upper middle class at that time. You should view the short interview with Matt Smith... his language is much more normal:

I believe there are other related interviews... but haven't sought them out as yet.

I'd like to comment on Heinz... but don't want to inject a spoiler. Maybe later...

thats the thing i am very used to him because he is in Doctor Who with his normal relatively posh accent and there was a big contrast between that and then this.

Ooh. I think I'd enjoy this.

Ooh. I think I'd enjoy this. :) Thank you for pointing this out, I love Doctor Who.

Well,

just a Muslim's opinion but, no one needs alcohol to be happy.

Mhm

The Jew agrees.

Err...

But no one said that?

I think...

It was referencing Swimmerguy's implying that the day would be better had he been able to reach the liquor cabinet. I could be wrong, though.

Hmm...

Alcohol taken when you're kind of depressed/bored and such is usually just to alter your consciousness and distract you from things. rarely would the goal be happiness. In that regard, alcohol usually builds on where you are. If you drink in a good mood, you get lighter and more fun. But if you're kind of in a bad, depressed, bored mood, it just takes you somewhere else for a bit.

I'm not suggesting it's good in either setting, as I'm nearly straight edge. But I didn't get the vibe that Chad thought that would have him happy, so it just struck me as tangential.

Oh.

That makes sense. Thank you for clarifying.
