I found a weird new mole on my body today, so remembering that moles can be a cancerous, I Google "weird mole" and now I'm kinda paranoid about it. These are the signs of (potentially) cancerous moles:
A – Asymmetry, a mole shouldn’t differ from one side to the other.
B – Border, the edges of the mole shouldn’t be blurred or jagged.
C – Colour, look out for any changes in colour or patchy shades.
D – Diameter, check to see if a mole increases in size or if it is larger than 6mm across.
My mole hits basically every one of these. Maybe not the colour one, it looks like some of my other moles, but, geez, the size of the thing is what scares me. It's more of an oval-ish shape, so one way across it's about 6mm and the other way it's 7mm. It's kind of difficult to accurately measure it because it's on the underside of my boob. So, yeah... this is wonderful.
I am setting up an appointment with my doctor ASAP. And I mean, I'm not saying it's definitely cancer, but it really does scare me.
HAH, I am not going to have an easy time falling asleep tonight.
