Everything went better than expected

Let's start off with a joke, shall we? I came across it the other day and it made me laugh even though maybe it shouldn't have?

What's the difference between Jell-O and a Jewish girl?
....
....
....

Jell-O moves when you eat it.

LOL. It so shouldn't make me laugh but it does. every. single. time.

I went in and got the mole biopsy done a couple days ago. Everything went fine. It just looks kinda... gnarly now because they didn't take the whole mole, they only took the center and stitched it up the remainder. It's all purple and whatnot. It's fine, though. It's the first time I've had stitches in years. The last and only other time was when I was in 4th or 5th grade and I had surgery to remove something from...

I'm having a brain fart. You know the space between your neck and your chin? There was something up there that needed to be removed. But the stitches I got were the kind that dissolved, so I didn't need to go in to have them removed. Lucky me!

1. i... don't get the joke. cuz... are we talking about eating like food or eating like oral sex? either way, i don't get it....

2. yey for mole removal! speedy healing and all that.

3. i'm pretty sure that it just goes straight from one's neck to the chin...

Umm...

You do know a lot of people think feminists have no sense of humor, so you should probably avoid perpetuating that "myth" so openly! heh. It is rather funny to show that you are successfully deconstructing both elements of the joke, but it's just that reassembling that seems amiss.

i have a sense of humor....

i have a sense of humor.... just not when i don't get it. i honestly don't understand. I'm reassembling and not putting anything together. What's funny? if you can explain to me why this is funny (do jews not enjoy sex? cuz sure, stereotypes are objectively funny, maybe I just haven't heard of the stereotype), i'll say "oh. heh. okay, cool." I promise not to be all like "RAWR jokes about minorities perpetuate stereotypes and when people who're part of the minorities tell those jokes it sets the revolution back a hundred years!!" because even if I believe that, i know to keep it to myself.

I'm just confused. xD

Err...

The joke is just that Jewish girls just lay there and don't do anything during sex, whereas at least Jello moves when you "eat it." There's really nothing else to it.

It reminds me of a bit Joan Rivers does in her act, when she asks all the lesbians to move to the back of the room so people around them aren't confused where the jokes are. Then, she says she went out for dinner with Rosie O'Donnell. And during the whole dinner, Joan is being Joan, and Rosie just sits there stone-faced and occasionally says "That's FUNNY!" And Joan says "Normal people just laugh when something is funny. I know what I'm saying is funny," or somesuch. Of course, Joan isn't known for being delicate, heh.

yeah, i still don't get it.

yeah, i still don't get it. why Jewish, specifically?

as for Joan... yes, yes, i did just giggle aloud.

That's an old stereotype...

That Jewish women don't like sex. Even Joan has a routine where she says she prefers anal sex, well, let's just let her tell it:

Jeff already explained the joke, so as for me...

The joke came out of nowhere on this thread so that may have had an impact on why I found it so funny. It certainly stuck, though, so there was something to it!
