Oh bliss! Bliss and heaven!

"Oh bliss! Bliss and heaven! Oh, it was gorgeousness and gorgeousity made flesh. It was like a bird of rarest-spun heaven metal or like silvery wine flowing in a spaceship, gravity all nonsense now. As I slooshied, I knew such lovely pictures!"

Uh, I fucking hate weekends sitting on mah fucking ass.

But at least Beethoven's still cool :P It's weird to be looking at porn while Beethoven's playing in the background :P

Oh, and something fucking terrifying:

I can readily envisage...

...that Beethoven's Ninth and quality porn taken together (along with dimmed bedroom lights) would create a near-ideal complement to whatever pleasures you might be simultaneously pursuing... :)

Now... if I could only persuade you to actually view/listen to ECKG (Extremely Cute Korean Guy) performing the "seed" for the Ninth (composed 16 years earlier)!

Oh, well... Should I risk posting it yet again?

That quote from CWO (a non sequitur?): Haven't read the book... I have the DVD and have tried repeatedly to get beyond the first 20 minutes or so... nothing but gratuitous, mindless mayhem. I know... you say to persevere...

That last link: I'm guessing that you "stumbled" onto this from reading Dawkins? What a load! I wonder if he has any idea how ignorant he sounds. The sad thing is that Layfield's argument is quite persuasive for all who choose not to think!

That's why those guys terrify me

Because that guy is actually very right about one thing.
He says that most disagreements come from the difference that some people say that reasonable and rational observation of the world is the only way to do Science, while others bring Scripture into it, and consider that superior.

That's what terrifies me, because if guys like that ever become in the majority, I can't even argue with him because all my arguments are based on reason, and he's already intentionally jettisoned reason, in favor of Scripture.

Galling, isn't it?

You're quite right... there's no way one can argue.

They hold an unassailable position. It's such a gratifying position to be in: knowing that you are always right!

(If there's any doubt... comment above was supposed to be sarcasm!)
