(answers)

do you dream? what was your last dream?
Not frequently. My last dream was very sexual and I remember it clearly - PM me if you're interested.

if taking your own life meant that 10 people would be cured of terminal disease, would you do it?
Yes, in a heartbeat.

who are you?
The garden-boy; the tied-up faunlet; the boy who spoke to God, but the sky was empty; the cat on its ninth life.

who did you last love, and why?
His name was D. and he was a summer in the midst of an unending winter. He touched me, and in the end he broke me.

what was your first love like?
I had several, but all firsts have always brought me pain.

what is your loveliest memory?
The first time someone told me I was beautiful, and I heard it, and I really felt it - I was moved to tears. I had been so broken, and everything fell into place. It was the first and only time I ever felt whole.

have you ever seen a ghost? would you like to?
Yes - on my previous account here I posted about my Ouija experience. I think I will be talking to angels again soon.

what do you believe in?
I believe in angel syndrome, in sad flowers, in not sleeping alone one day.

how much of your life (dreams, aspirations, day-to-day activities) was pre-decided for you by your culture?
prefer not to answer. PM me.

how much of your life is authentically yours?
prefer not to answer. PM me.

why are some things evil?
prefer not to answer. PM me.

what kind of person do you aspire to be?
One who is content in their breakdown, one who is beautiful.

would you have 10 people you don't know murdered (anonymously) for 1,000,000,000$, and why?
Yes - my greed knows no bounds.

are you upset? why?
Yes, and prefer not to answer so directly. PM me.

according to you, what happens when we die?
We become a part of everything - there is no self, only calm.

The thought of seeing a ghost terrifies me... One time, I was up studying really late for a test. I was getting sleepy and gazing into the room across from the table I was sitting at when a plastic bag just lifted into the air and dropped back to the ground. I'm getting spooked out thinking about it. And not to mention those paranoid "what did I just see out of the corner of my eye" moments. It's weird, though. I like to think I'm unafraid and accepting of death, but the thought of ghosts makes me uneasy.
How do you feel about ghosts?

"It's weird, though. I like to think I'm unafraid and accepting of death, but the thought of ghosts makes me uneasy."

I think that a lot of the unease around ghosts comes from the fact that they're not supposed to be here, they're supposed to have gone on somewhere else... Yet they're still here.

"How do you feel about ghosts?"

I believe in them - my previous experiences force me to. I'm comforted by them, because it means that a part of us is eternal.

One very personal experience I had with a ghost involved my ex-boyfriend, and his brother, who died before his first birthday. Beyond the Ouija board providing tons of details which we confirmed later, for a while afterwards I often felt as though my ex's brother was trying to communicate to him, through me - I often got flashes of images, a few times I burst out crying, felt physical pains in my chest.

As I stopped being so fascinated with what exactly was going on, it stopped. The more you pay attention to this kind of thing, the more they happen.

Do you want to experience

Do you want to experience the Ouija board again? I mean, couldn't it always be worse the next time? I think it's important to gauge curiosity with fear, and my typical fear of Ouija boards dampens my curiousity..but I'd probably try it. maybe

angel syndrome's picture

"Do you want to experience

"Do you want to experience the Ouija board again?"
Yes.

"I mean, couldn't it always be worse the next time?"
I have had a troubling experience when a few friends and I used it in a "haunted" house - everyone in the room heard laughter coming from all corner, and we were alone, in a closed-off boiler room. It was honestly one of the most frightening moments of my life. But we knew we were messing with something that shouldn't be messed with.

"I think it's important to gauge curiosity with fear, and my typical fear of Ouija boards dampens my curiousity..but I'd probably try it. maybe"
It is, for sure - and you just might learn something about yourself in the process.

do you dream? what was your

do you dream? what was your last dream?
I dreamt that my “childhood sweetheart” came back (which is weird since I’m barely a teenager and I’m the one that left our school).

if taking your own life meant that 10 people would be cured of terminal disease, would you do it?
Yes! Above all we must preserve as much life as we can. Life is the most beautiful thing in this universe.

who are you?
I am an artist, a performer, a manipulator of emotions…

who did you last love, and why?
Love as in any kind, my hamster (she’s right next to me). Fall in love with? The idea of my perfect mate. She is beautiful and has no face.

what is your loveliest memory?
A feeling from when I was little of the sun warming my body and feeling so peaceful and happy.

have you ever seen a ghost? would you like to?
Yes. I wish she’d come back.

what do you believe in?
The value of life and beauty; decency; the patterns in nature which are more beautiful than anything else.

how much of your life (dreams, aspirations, day-to-day activities) was pre-decided for you by your culture?
None of it. I strive to be myself, and I am different.

why are some things evil?
Nothing is all evil. Our perception of evil evolves as our ethics, our cultures, our experiences change.

what kind of person do you aspire to be?
I aspire to be the kind of person who brings joy to others by simply being. I want to make people smile, laugh, cry, feel.

would you have 10 people you don't know murdered (anonymously) for 1,000,000,000$, and why?
Never. I would give all the money I had and more to save them. Your life is your own, but you cannot take anyone else’s. The decision to murder is not my decision to make.

are you upset? why?
No. I feel peaceful. But I will be upset soon—peace never lasts for me.

according to you, what happens when we die?
I don’t know. I live in the hope that when I die, my consciousness will spread out infinitely far and become part of the fabric of the universe. I hope that death brings peace, and rest, and understanding of why things happen the way they do, or at least an end to the endless need to know.

Hmm...

do you dream? what was your last dream?
I never remember my dreams. I do have a nootropic that supposedly lets you remember them, as well as enable more lucid dreaming, but I haven't taken it yet.

if taking your own life meant that 10 people would be cured of terminal disease, would you do it?
Nope. They'll just die eventually anyway.

who are you?
A striver.

who did you last love, and why?
I always negate love in the post-mortem.

what was your first love like?
Unrequited.

what is your loveliest memory?
It didn't happen yet.

have you ever seen a ghost? would you like to?
I can't see things that don't exist.

what do you believe in?
The communal power of experiencing art. Any emotional artistic expression.

how much of your life (dreams, aspirations, day-to-day activities) was pre-decided for you by your culture?
The bullshit I do for money is decided by culture. Some stuff, like running this site, is based on my experiences growing up. Most everything else I do is my own design.

how much of your life is authentically yours?
More than most people I know, way less than it should be.

why are some things evil?
So we can more easily identify good.

what kind of person do you aspire to be?
Artistic and loved.

would you have 10 people you don't know murdered (anonymously) for 1,000,000,000$, and why?
A billion? Sure. If I were in Congress, I'd make WAY less than that to kill way more people...

are you upset? why?
I have to find a job, and I hate working. ;-)

according to you, what happens when we die?
Worms eat us. Unless you get cremated.

do you dream? what was your

do you dream? what was your last dream?
I used to dream a lot, and they were all freaky and terrifying. Now my dreams occur less frequently and are more practical. Except for my dream...I dreamed that my mom was mauled by a cat, and no matter how many times I pulled it off of her, it always attacked again. O_o

if taking your own life meant that 10 people would be cured of terminal disease, would you do it? To be honest, no. I know that sounds horribly selfish, but if people were honest with themselves, they would say the same. I value my life.

who are you? I'm a writer, a poet, a sister, a friend, a daughter, a granddaughter, a thinker, a daydreamer, a recluse, etc. I think I haven't become me yet, if that makes any sense. Sometimes I can feel my identity forming itself. I have yet to fit into my own skin. It's a weird feeling. I'll get back to you on that one.

who did you last love, and why? Well currently I seem to love Brittany. I don't know if I'm IN LOVE with her, but I do love her in more than just the obvious romantic way. I can't really explain it. There's just this mystery about her, and I get this feeling that she doesn't reveal her full self to others. She's just so fascinating. It's a romantic infatuation, but it's also a weird kind of love I really don't know how to describe.

what was your first love like? Horrible. Terrifying. It turned into an unhealthy obsession, and when that obsession was revealed to its target, it blew up in my face. She didn't speak to me for a long time. At that point in my life, she was the only person I trusted and valued, and then she turned away and I was a wreck. It was my first experience with the whole teen love thing, and I didn't know how to handle it. Thankfully I've grown up a bit since then.

what is your loveliest memory? I don't have many lovely memories. I know this won't be my loveliest memory in the future, but right now, it is the time I made Brittany laugh so hard she almost cried. Which is really a pathetic lovely memory, but I think my loveliest memory has yet to happen because there's so much I haven't experienced.

have you ever seen a ghost? would you like to? No, but a lot of my friends have. And I believe them. I would like to, but only if there's someone with me when I see it. I'd really love to go to a place that's famous for being haunted and stay in it like what those dudes on Ghost Adventures do. And yes, I do believe in ghosts.

what do you believe in? I believe in fate, that some things are just meant to be. But I also believe that we have most of the control over our fates, just sometimes an unseen force can make certain things happen at times. I also believe in the power of words, and I believe in a certain kind of beauty.

how much of your life (dreams, aspirations, day-to-day activities) was pre-decided for you by your culture? I'm in the process of becoming independent from society. But, right now, a lot of my life is determined by this warped culture. I mean, I'm in the fucking closet because high school culture demands normality and conformity and I don't want to inconvenience myself. I'm not ashamed, I just don't want to deal with the trouble of coming out. And my way of looking at others is impacted by culture. I label people fat, ugly, stupid...all by societal standards.

how much of your life is authentically yours? Very little. Everyday I go to school and I live a half-truth by keeping quiet about who I really am. Not just in sexuality, but nobody knows I write poetry, or my opinions about certain things, etc.

why are some things evil? Nobody is purely evil. But they can get pretty damn close. And those people exist so good things can be appreciated a whole lot more.

what kind of person do you aspire to be? An author. Someone who's completely separate from society in thought and in being. I don't want to think like other people, be like other people. Someone who doesn't pass judgement or withhold prejudices. Somebody who has a girl that loves without conditions and has a beautiful mind.

would you have 10 people you don't know murdered (anonymously) for 1,000,000,000$, and why? It's really hard to say. Lots of people would be quick to say no, but if the opportunity actually presented itself...I dunno. I don't think I would, because that's more money than I need and one of those 10 people could be an innocent child. If those 10 people were prisoners on death row, I'd do it. But otherwise I don't think I would.

are you upset? why? Not really. I mean I kind of am at times because I'm not out of the closet, so that gets frustrating. And Brittany isn't mine. Or any girl, for that matter. How stupid of me.

according to you, what happens when we die? I really have no idea. There is no heaven or hell, but there could be something else. I think that's something that nobody can ever know for certain.

(answers)

do you dream? what was your last dream?
I do. My last one, I believe, was about Brad saying that he might be gay. (The two biggest times of day when I think about him are when I'm on Oasis and at night, so it makes sense that he's appeared in two or three of my dreams.)

if taking your own life meant that 10 people would be cured of terminal disease, would you do it?
No, I wouldn't. It would make me a bad person. (See my post on morality somewhere in the journals.)

who are you?
Musician, I guess would be the best word for me. I love making and listening to music.

who did you last love, and why?
(I'm skipping this because the answer's obvious.)

what was your first love like?
(This, too.)

what is your loveliest memory?
My first high.

have you ever seen a ghost? would you like to?
No.

what do you believe in?
Nothing.

how much of your life (dreams, aspirations, day-to-day activities) was pre-decided for you by your culture?
Everything the people around me force to do. School, regular meals, hygeine, etc. Atheism was also taught to me by my parents.

how much of your life is authentically yours?
The portion I spend listening to and making music.

why are some things evil?
I believe that evil doesn't exist.

what kind of person do you aspire to be?
I don't. I'm not ready for personal change.

would you have 10 people you don't know murdered (anonymously) for 1,000,000,000$, and why?
No. I'm indifferent to both the people who are murdered and the money I would receive, so it isn't worth the energy of making a decision. (Like my philosophy: I won't care when I'm dead.)

are you upset? why?
No.

according to you, what happens when we die?
Nothing. We already don't exist, so we would either be forced into another illusion or we would cease to perceive anything.

elph's picture

You asked...

do you dream?
Yes… every night! Everyone does; they just might not remember them.

what was your last dream?
Bizarre! Made no sense at all.

if taking your own life meant that 10 people would be cured of terminal disease, would you do it?
Yes… but only if I were approaching my normal life expectancy and those who are cured are children.

who are you?
Me… I think.

who did you last love, and why?
A long-standing friend. We enjoyed each other's company.

what was your first love like?
Agony; I couldn't risk letting him know!

what is your loveliest memory?
I'm incapable of grading those memories.

have you ever seen a ghost?
I thought I did… once when ~5 and I had just gone to bed.

would you like to?
No. I have no reason to believe in their existence.

what do you believe in?
Whatever I or someone else can objectively verify.

how much of your life (dreams, aspirations, day-to-day activities) was pre-decided for you by your culture?
Practically all as a child; now, I'd like to think less so.

how much of your life is authentically yours?
Strange question! Who's the authenticating agent?

why are some things evil?
Things = people or acts? People are evil when they act to limit the personal sovereignty of another.

what kind of person do you aspire to be?
Someone who is truly loved by a few, but only a few.

would you have 10 people you don't know murdered (anonymously) for 1,000,000,000$, and why?
Never! I would be evil were I to do so.

are you upset? why?
Off and on. Right now because I had to pay more for some tickets (entertainment) than I felt was justified.

according to you, what happens when we die?
Simple… we quit!

Body discompose, soul gets re-used.

anarchist's picture

Soul gets reused!

That's a funny way of thinking about reincarnation. Why throw away a perfectly good soul? It can be used again, especially in this economy!

elph's picture

Indeed...

Chichikov found great utility in amassing the souls of the dead:

Read Gogol's great novel: Dead Souls (Мёртвые души).

As interested as I am in Russian literature,

I can't read it. First, I have to read a ton for school. And I also can't really read a book. I don't have the patience for it, especially a long one. I just lose interest and forget about it. I'm more adio. I have the patience t be able listen to a 10-hour ambient album I have by Merzbow if I had the time, but I don't have the patience for a book. I don't know how that works, but it just is.
