Today I wanted to go to the park, but we couldn't. I was SOOOO angry.

On 1)...

...I share these sentiments... particularly today!

And it seemed like it was only yesterday that I was persisting in the (clearly false) belief that I had essentially forever to accomplish all that I had ever dreamed of doing!

Don't make this mistake... start now! We are not immortals...

Yes...

Happy birthday, Dave and elph!

Thanks, Jeff

Also... wishing Dave a happy birthday... just as he'd like it (today... and not as given in profile?)!

Hmm...

Came back to comment on the rest, and it's gone?!

I'm perplexed as well...

What happened?

One imagines...

Just Dave deleted it.

I feel that he was a tad bit too hard on himself!

As I recall, there was nothing in his journal that reflected badly upon himself...

In fact, it went a long way towards defining his current feelings.

He may have written his thoughts while not quite "present"... really dunno. But I think he (as well as anyone else who deletes elements of a journal) is doing themselves a disservice: this is who they were!

If one regrets having posted something (other than being disrespectful of others), the best course of action would be to follow with a "clarifying" journal...

Oh, well... what's done is done...

****

And... btw, Dave, I remember you from way back... and I immediately grokked at that time that you had a very promising future. I still do...

Why?

Responding to your revised journal...

Why couldn't you go to the park? I would love to have celebrated our birthdays in such company and idyllic surroundings...

Alas... I celebrated... alone... with just one extra glass of wine!
