New stuff (life is changing)

MaddieJoy's picture

So highschool is starting soon. I just went to orientation and it seems like it won't be too bad. I even made a friend at lunch afterward! She just moved here from Texas & she's in the gifted program.
Oh, and I decided to try out for Drill Team in the spring. I didn't transfer to this district in time for the summer tryouts, so I'm going to start working out and stretching so I'll be sure to get in when tryouts roll around again. I've always loved dancing and wanted to wear a uniform, so it will be really fun I think. The team is super good--it's won all sorts of state championships.
In other news, I've grown .3 inches in the last 6 months and my scoliosis has not progressed. But according to PA Sears (the spine guy at the hospital), I need to play a sport to help save my back. Thus, Drill Team.
The day after tomorrow I'm getting my braces off and cutting my hair. I'm getting the same basic style as Parker from Leverage, who looks just like me:

Cool right? And I even have a coupon! ;P

I have another question: who doesn't use bing?

Uhh...

I mainly use Google.

the vast majority of the planet

seriously check bings users it barely gets more than a few hundred users

jeff's picture

Actually...

Bing has been rising at a pretty strong rate, although nowhere near Google. Of course, this is fact rather than opinion, so you may not believe it. ;-)

but Jeff its growing just like Internet Explorer is

not because its good, because its the Microsoft Default and still its never going to be the New Google

jeff's picture

So...

Which is it?

Does no one use Bing (your first reply) or is Bing on the rise because of Microsoft pushing it (your second reply)? ;-)

when i say no-one uses something

i mean not a lot of people regardless of its rising or falling

jeff's picture

hehehe...

Now you're putting your contradictions in the same post.

So, not a lot of people use it, even though studies show more people are using it.

I am starting to really understand your Dan Savage position now. ;-)

Bing is below the main Search engines making it not very popular

Opera is on the rise still unpopular, because the numbers of something are rising doesn't mean its popular

jeff's picture

Hmm...

I'm going to have to put this in the Dan Savage file, I'm afraid. ;-)

im afraid to say

im disappointed in you

jeff's picture

Heh...

Why is that?

You stated an opinion, and I actually showed that your opinion was wrong based on a site that tracks search engine market share, so then you kept slightly reframing it to show you were still right.

Same with Dan Savage. You reposted someone else's list of things against him, and when I compared it to 10+ years of listening to him, reading him, and even having interviewed him for Oasis, you stood by your stance, despite saying you never read him or listened to his actual material.

So, makes sense to form a conclusion that you enjoy having an opinion, and will insist it is right despite any evidence to the contrary, even if it means slightly redefining how you are right, so that:

"it barely gets more than a few hundred users"
becomes
"not because its good, because its the Microsoft Default"
becomes
"because the numbers of something are rising doesn't mean its popular"

So, I'm not sure how I'm then wrong because my initial rebuttal doesn't disprove your third subsequent claim? Sure, if you keep reframing your opinion eventually it will not be disproved by my article.

But it is hard to understand how my saying it had more than a hundred users meant I said it was more popular than Google. So, it seems similar to Dan, I'm afraid. Opinion that can't change when presented with facts is a dangerous thing.

if you discount all the default microsoft stuff and leave it to a other search engine people who go to bing from start are only few in number

if Dan Savage truly changed he would have changed the faulty it gets better project

I think, judging your entire personality,

and from what I"ve always viewed from the things you start arguments about, you thoroughly love parroting statistics and data without doing any research on your own.

You're just a whiny bitchy teen with an opinion, who likes to follow the trends of the population and shout it like you discovered it. Stop trying so damn hard and shut up when people prove you wrong and put you in your place. Stop being so disrespectful and thoroughly annoying. You're not always right.
