I was even more bored.

I've found twelve new musicians in the past week. I've been searching like crazy, at least relative to how much I usually do. So now I have the addition of The Odious, Cattle Decapitation, Car Bomb, Spliff Witchard, Bispora, Tribulation, Lucaria, Coprocephalic, Cocaine Breath, Dissection, Burzum, and Suboken in my library. I'm a hipster.

So, if you've read that list of artists, you'll already know this, but I've been getting into black metal, too. (And sludge/stoner metal.) I'm pretty sure black metal is better, but that's just because I love really weird music. And black metal is much, much weirder than death metal (even tech death). It's also less oversaturated with new commercial bands trying to get famous.

Everything else is pretty much the same as the last journal. I've tried a bit more musique concrete. I should be finishing another album soon if I continue with that. I might post this one somewhere other than TPB; it just feels like something I'd put onYouTube or some other stream site.

Oh, and another notable thing that happened is my mother got me some extremely dark (85%) chocolate. I do love dark chocolate very much. Most people get that stuff once, expecting it to taste like the regular cheap dark chocolate they're used to, and then decide it's too bitter and give it to someone else.

You aren't listening to enough μ-Ziq.

Did you watch?

Cattle Decapitation's video forced gender reassignment? So fucking brutal. literally.

Also, if you are getting into black metal more, you should check out Bathory, Venom, Opeth, gorgoroth, and Deicide to name a few. there are so many more from finland, norway, and swedes are always a good bet. But there's some great black/death metal out there.

Oh, I forgot Kreator. Saw them live not too long ago...totally badass.

I actually posted that video on this web site.

I've seen it twice.

And I have heard Bathory. I don't remember it, though. I mostly just go on Bandcamp and click on random albums with the "metal" tag to find bands.

I really like Varg Vikernes. His music is so dark, and he burns churches and stabs people. Aside from his extreme xenophobia, he's pretty cool.

I really like how black metal has much more to it than just trying to be heavy and brutal. Sort of like the Odious.

You should check out the album The Horror by Tribulation, though. It's an awesome blend of black metal and death metal.

Isn't he the guy that burned down like 5 churches in Norway while recording an album and then sold the albums w/ the burnt church pictures on the covers? he is dark for sure.

I know that album. Also, I know the grand conjuration by opeth was a pretty good mix as well.

Five churches? He isn't that fucked up.

All he did was burn four churches. And he stabbed Euronymous to death. But he has justification for both. He was still imprisoned, though. At least he looked happy when they read his sentence to him. And he was released in 2009.

But yeah, other than that and the extreme xenophobia, he's pretty cool. Oh, and the album's called Aske, which is Norwegian for ashes. It's a pretty weird album.

Oh, he is. there are many churches in his area...

that were burnt in that time period, and he is the prime suspect.

I'm not surprised.

Burning churches is for cool guys, and Varg's the hippest dude in town.

On the benefits of dark chocolate!

If you look a bit harder, you may also find chocolate that is 90% cocoa.

I have been treating myself (for many years) to one square after every meal of 90% from Lindt & Sprüngli. It's labeled: "Excellence" "Supreme Dark."

And something else you may want to consider: almonds and walnuts (unsalted; probably found in the cooking aisle).
