Can somebody please tell me what the fuck is going on?

A few days ago I went with my father to pick up some speakers he had bought, and I fell asleep in the car on the way home. When I went to get out the door I saw a crane fly right next to where my face was, at most a couple of inches away. The next day I was walking my dog and the same crane fly flew right in front of me. The day after that (yesterday) it was in my room, flying around me. And just now it was outside my window, trying to get in my room. What the fuck is this?

I thought it was just a coincidence at first, but this fly is really following me now. I thought it might just be instinct but it seems nobody else on the internet has had the same problem. This is pretty weird.

Some birds are very protective of "their" territory...

I've had similar experiences wandering on country roads and being dive bombed by red-winged black birds!

Hmm...

Maybe you speak the lost language of cranes?! ;-)

(That's an old gay novel: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lost_Language_of_Cranes)

Apparently Jimi Hendrix is in that book.

This pleases me.

So,

A Crane Fly is following you? Well, at least they don't bite like Mosquito's.
You dabbling in that acid you spoke of? LOL. Just kidding. Maybe it liked your scent.

Oh yeah, that reminds me of something I wanted to say.

I can't remember what it was, though. Sorry.

I know people, though, who do a lot of acid.

Oh, also

I think I've found the heaviest band I've heard so far. They're called Coprocephalic. They're pretty fucking brutal.

Er...

How can you possibly know it's the same cranefly? They're pretty common critters - seems like the most likely explanation is that you just keep noticing them?

They're not common at all in my neighborhood.

That was the first time seeing a crane fly at all in a very long while. And now I haven't seen one at all since this strange series of encounters. It seems way too unlikely that a bunch of different crane flies just randomly invaded me at once. That would be even stranger than one of them just hanging around me for a few days.
