Levithan's "Two Boys Kissing"

Two weeks ago I mentioned what a great "read" this new book from David Levithan is: Two Boys Kissing:

I'm confident that there exist other reviews of this fine LGBT book (primarily YA)... but, I just came across this great comment in today's The Boston Globe:

That search is apparently very common...

In Utah.

Great one! :)

But that is just a guess... right?

btw... If you're interested in a recent murder mystery (fiction), you may want to take a look at The Blood Doctrine. Two LDS missionaries are central to the plot and there is much on arcane observances (most factual... but not all) required of its membership.

As a matter of fact...

It's not! That's actually a fact. Google has stats for that sort of thing.

You told me about that one, yeah.

Uh... This for me?

If so... it's got to be a non sequitur?

You said...

Something about the commonality of the search in Utah being a guess; it was a fact.

And you told me about the murder mystery.

You're reading too much...

into my use of the word "guess" into your comment about Utah being the site!

Of course, I'm well aware that Utah is the center for Mormonism.

You were correct... the story does take place in Utah! But, knowing that had to have been a likely "guess" if you had not yet read either the novel or one of its reviews. Agreed?

"Guess" was never meant as a put-down. Others are much more adept in this area than I could ever be!

...?

What the fuck are you even talking about, Elphie? I didn't even read the review, I was just making a joke about the commonality of the search in Utah. I wasn't guessing about the story. Nor did I think you were putting me down.

I think you're reading waaaaay too far into things. I wasn't talking about the story, just the joke.

OK... let's just leave it at that! :)

I really can't tell whether you're "channelling" tycoondashkid or not! :)
