I haven't been on here in months, but I decided that today was a good day to return.
On the day before people around our country go off the deep end with Black Friday sales specials-I- and the rest of my family-are thankful to just be alive. We are almost completely recovered from our injuries from the car accident earlier this summer, but now I'm almost two inches shorter from my spine compressing for some reason, and I still have a slight limp in the foot that was shattered, but I can walk. The pain's gone too, along with the need for painkillers.
This morning after breakfast my parents gave me a card with a sonogram inside of what is obviously a boy, and they told me they want me to name him, the only thing is it has to be a name that none of my relatives have (my Dad has nine brothers!) and we all have the same middle name (James). So far Alex and Kyle are my top picks. I'm excited beyond words!
Matthew and I are still together, and things with the girls have gone in directions we didn't think were possible, but we carry on.
Today I also ask that we keep in mind those who will go through today without some of their loved ones, and cherish those close to you.
I now know that you need to be thankful for what you have, and when you are what you receive takes on a greater meaning.
For now I'll stop, but I'll be back.
