Hot, Hot, Hot!!

Hi Oasis!

Sorry I haven't written in a while it's just that I have so much to do and I've been quite disorganized. Anyways, this article will be a short one; a quick recap of what's been going on in my life. I promise that next month I'll have a more substantial missive.

For the second year in a row I'm working in a university during the summer. It hasn't been actually much of a summer until fairly recently, but apparently now it's hotter in London than it is Hawaii!?

This time last year I was ten thousand miles from home in NJ. Now I'm just two hundred miles from home in London. The bad thing about being here is that the heat and the pollution do not make the most wonderful of combinations. Fortunately I can get away from it a bit when I go home since I live in a very nice area in South London. It is a substantial improvement over my former digs in Central London. The only problem is that it takes a while to get into work in the morning and if I want to get in quickly I have to take the tube (Subway in American). It's not the most pleasant experience at the best of times and it's positively unbearable in the scorching temperatures. I think I've found the most optimal bus route but it does take awhile. I get to see some sights on my way home though (the Thames, London Eye, Big Ben from a distance) which kind of make up for it.

I'd love to tell you more but I've got to take my computer be repaired (the mouse has a mind of its own. It goes anyway except where I want it to go. I have to browse the Web with the Tab key). I promise I'll give full rundown of my experiences next month.

Take care,
