Jay Nagdimon, Ph.D. was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. His early involvements included six years of volunteering at the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Community Services Center's Youth Department. Jay worked on the Gay and Lesbian Youth Talkline, both as a volunteer and later as a trainer of new volunteers. He also was very involved in the Center's Pen Pal Program and youth newsletter.
Jay Nagdimon, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist and currently directs the Los Angeles Suicide Prevention Center, a non-profit organization which operates a 24-hour crisis line, bereavement groups for survivors and several youth suicide prevention programs. In addition Dr. Nagdimon maintains a part-time psychotherapy practice in West Los Angeles.
In 1992 Jay, along with several members of the Gay and Lesbian Youth Talkline founded Lambda Youth Network, an innovative outreach and referral organization which uses mainstream advertising to reach isolated g/l/b youth across America.
