The National Gay & Lesbian Task Force Policy Institute proudly presents the 9th annual Creating Change Conference, THE national conference for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender movement. Since 1988, Creating Change has been the incubator of our movement. Countless projects, campaigns, initiatives, and strategies have been conceived and launched in the political hothouse that is Creating Change.
In the wake of the 1996 Presidential election, the Supreme Court's decision on Amendment 2, and rollercoaster federal and state legislative sessions, our activists, organizers, and allies need to reflect, plan, and strategize.
Join us in Washington, DC, at the Radisson Plaza Hotel (Alexandria, VA) in the days following the 1996 election (November 6-10) to recharge your political batteries and refresh your spirits at Creating Change, the national activist/organizer school for all in out communities who seek social justice.
Keynote speakers include: Rep. Barney Frank, June Jordan, and Carmen Vasquez. Full day institutes include: People of Color Organizing, Race is the Issue, Finding common Ground, Youth Organizing Institute, and Community Centers. A variety of workshops and specialized training will also be included.
